Lindum College Counselling Courses

Our counselling courses contain elements of work with adults, children and young people, much of the counselling work can be adapted and used across age groups
Part one
is an entry level certificate (level 2) and comprises 30 classroom hours. Once successfully completed the student will have a basic understanding of the counselling process and a clearer idea of whether this is the right path to take. The student will also be eligible to enrol for our level 4 counselling diploma subject to a 1:1 tutorial with one of your tutors
Part two
is a level 4 Diploma qualification and comprises 200 classroom hours. At the end of the first 100 hours you will be assessed for working in the required placement and once successful will receive a level 3 certificate. The course content will provide the student with the tools and knowledge base to become a qualified counsellor working with adults, children and young people
Part three
is a level 5 Diploma and is optional. The purpose of the level 5 is to build your classroom hours toward the required 450 to begin the BACP accreditation process whilst at the same time teaching advanced skills to help clients with the many mental health issues they face in this modern world

Once enrolled on the level 4 diploma course you will eligible to apply for student membership of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
Once qualified to level 4 you will be eligible to apply to convert your student membership into full membership
