Our counselling courses contain elements of work with adults, children and young people, much of the counselling work can be adapted and used across age groups
Level 2 - introduction to counselling
This is an entry level certificate (level 2) and comprises 50 classroom hours. Once successfully completed the student will have a basic understanding of the counselling process and a clearer idea of whether this is the right path to take.
Level 3 advanced certificate in counselling skills and theory
comprises 100 classroom hours, In this course you will learn advanced skills and have a better understanding of the theory that underpins the work as well as the application of skills to a variety of clinical situations. At the end of this course you will be assessed for suitability to enter the required placement
Level 4 Diploma in counselling skills and theory
This level 4 diploma will teach you skills to work at a deeper level with complex issues and allow you practice and develop difference theoretical styles to find the best way to work that suits your personality. Once successfully completed will enable you work as a qualified counsellor and convert your membership with BACP or NCS to full membership from student, you will then be eligible to continue your journey to their accreditation should you wish to do so.
Level 5 Advanced Diploma in counselling skills and theory
This level is optional and offers you the opportunity to add many skills including working with children and young people to your practice
